I love the SAABLAZER. Even the normal ones are awesome, as they receive nicer interior materials, more buttoned down suspension, and nicer fascias than the trailblazer. The fact that the Aero model is a TBSS in disguise is just icing on the cake.

Don't forget V8 sweetness

That too.

You’re excused because I’d be lying if I didn’t eye these things when having our old Saab worked on.

See, the issue would be if you didn't like it.

Really nice SUV. This is what the Rainier should have been. It shouldn’t have been a SAAB.
I call it the TrollBlazer because SAAB was located in Trollhattan, Sweden.

The Aero is the only Saab I like

I was just thinking the other day that these really do look pretty nice.

Its GM at its finest, and Saab at its least.

I don’t think you’d confuse most people.

I will always have a grudge against these. Some guy who was driving one threatened to beat me up in my neighborhood when I was in high school, he thought I had littered but in reality a small gum wrapper had flown out my window when I took my jacket off inside the car. He told me “this is a nice neighborhood” but I had never seen him before and never saw him again. What a dick.

Probably the best looking 2000’s SUVs period. I do hope the interior reeeally is better because the Chevy/GMC interiors are HORRIBLE. utter crap.

Forget the V8 and have a I6 instead.

Saablazer, meet the Saabillac

Hmmm! How many seats? 5 or 7? (Wife is starting to lean towards “we need a minivan”)

The I6 sucks.

Because the SAABlazer is the automotive equivalent of a redneck in a tuxedo.

5, unfortunately. What about an Ecoboost Flex?

No no. It’s definitely the best. And to make this just not my own opinion the engine made it to the Ward’s 10 best engines of year list during years 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. And GM upgraded the engine for 2006 so the last years were actually the best.
They are pretty tough engines and they can withstand plenty of power.

I was just poking fun. Almost every 2000+ GM engine is solid. Look under the hood of the off-road monsters running in the Baja 1000, tons of them will have the 2.4 Ecotec underneath the hood.
The 2.0T Ecotec is also solid, as is the new 3.6TT that Cadillac is using. The I6 was just as bulletproof.
